Santa trumpeting the news that Christmas is near!
This is a vintage Christmas toy called Santa's Candy Wagon. My Mom has had it for a long time and it sits out each Christmas on her TV stand.
Lily is being quite mellow with her yellow sippy cup and Elmo blanket as she watching an Elmo movie on TV. Don't you just love those little curled feet!
Lucy and her yellow blankie.
Lily says, "It's for you Grandma."
Sweet Little Smiles
Yes, I know it's a very pale, pale yellow cone; but come on, are you really looking at the cone?
Last week I posted three 'quilt barns' on my photoblog (here). The above barn is the last of those barns I found while following this particular trail in West Virginia. The National Quilt Barn trail was began in 2001 by Donna Sue Groves. In 1989 she purchased an Adams County Ohio farm and promised her mother that she would one day paint a quilt square on it to honor her mother and their Appalachian heritage.
Time for a Nature Note this week. A couple of weeks ago I took photos of my closed up yucca plant (here). This week I was standing at my dining room window trying to get some pictures of a little bunny munching on the clover in the yard (photos soon to come) when I noticed the yucca was beginning to bloom. I snapped a shot of it through the window thinking I would go out later and take some shots. I've been busy this week and that didn't happen so I used my photo software to create a little impressionist painting for you. All of those buds in the background have all since burst into bloom!

e little winged buddies were feeling very mellow about its appearance! I'd like to thank all of those who stopped by and left comments and condolences about the passing of my sister-in-law. My husband and I both thank you for your thoughts and compassion during our time of grief. It's wonderful to have such a warm 'family' of such caring friends. Many Blessings to you all!
