My little granddaughters spent the 4th of July at Grandma's house. That is little Lucy on the left and big sister Lily on the right. Both are wearing their red, white, and blue dresses for the holiday.

Lily also loves her dolly and Grandma's discarded cell phone.
Some of you might remember that old TV show Different Strokes. Sitting in Grandmas rocker Lucy smiles and Lily seems to be doing an imitation of Arnold Jackson with an expression of "what 'chu talkin' 'bout Grandma?"
It nears naptime and Lucy's pensive look tells Grandma the photo session is over.

We heard the sound of music in our home quite often when our son and daughter were young. Our daughter played the violin and our son played the violin, the guitar, and the drums.He was part of a garage band in his high school years which practiced at our house - oh, the SOUND of MUSIC! This is his guitar with his pick left right where it left it. I took it outside in the natural sunlight and really like how the pick caught the sun and reflected on the headstock of the guitar.

I wasn't sure about this one but the more I looked at it the more I was really happy with it. This is a plume of my Smoke Bush. The little pin point yellow flowers have almost all fallen off leaving the smokey plume. The background just seemed to come together and give this image its fairytale colors.

Page 25 in one of my magazines advertised kitty litter and gave me the inspiration to take a photo of my cat Heidi.
Tonight I received an email from a wonderful friend asking how I was. It has been many weeks since I last posted. Where have I been? Well, as you can see by the photos posted I was visiting my grandchildren. The first photo is of the newest member of our family. I introduced Sammy in the previous post. As I was taking pictures on Thanksgiving day I noticed his beautiful blue eye peeking out of the side of the bassinet where he was having 'tummy time'. I hope you can enlarge this one to see his little eyelashes. There are many more pictures to come but this one fits the blue theme for today.
As many of you may know, this is darling Lily in her Toy Story Woody character towel. Isn't this the cutest idea. It is a hooded towel and could have very well been used as a Halloween costume had we found them in time. Her sister has the Alien character towel from Toy Story but was asleep when this photo session took place.
Little Miss Lucy is all dressed up in a toga made from her Mommy's shirt. It was early for dressup play on Thanksgiving morning. She promptly pushed the cooler over to the TV and started watching the Macy's Parade.
The ruby for this week's Ruby Tuesday comes to us courtesy of SpongeBob SquarePants seen here on little Ms. Lily's pajamas. She loves her SpongeBob! She doesn't know it yet but Grammy has a set of SpongeBob sheets to take her on my next visit. That almost smile in the photo isn't because she's being coy but rather that she is letting her M&M's melt in her mouth.
Little Ms. Lucy isn't shy at all! You will have to excuse the slobbers on her chin. Hey, a girl has to have her milk!

While driving the nearby neighborhood streets around my daughter's apartment we came upon this unique bench at the side of someone's home. If you look closely you can see that the vinyl records have been attached to a bench. I thought it was a pretty cool piece of yard art.
This my friends is baby Lucy. She is now one year old and loves to crawl through the gate to this free standing barn. Her favorite activity is putting the eggs in the slot below the chicken. When the eggs fall music begins to play. Those are two play eggs she has in her hands. You can tell she knows to smile when Grammy has the camera pointed at her.
This of course is her big sister Lily. Lily was two in December. I just love her sweet smile and her lovely raven colored curls. Every night she would come and give Grammy a kiss and hug goodnight, say nite-nite, and I love you. Perfect ending to every day!
I haven't posted a photo of Lily and Lucy (on left) for a little while so I thought I'd show you an updated one. Hopefully you won't notice there is only a tiny bit of red because you're looking at those cute little smiles. :)
