Oh, this is so gorgeous - and a brilliant way to get Ruby Tuesday and Project Black into one shot. I LOVE it. Thanks for your kind comments at Raven's Nest. I really had a great time making "the tour."
Very great shot! I loved the contrast of colors!
I had a word in mind when I first saw this. And low and behold, it's the 5th word in Raven's comment. I'm using it anyhow. THIS IS GORGEOUS!. The color. The composition. The background. All of it. This is one your best shots EVER. I love it.
Yum! You just made my mouth water! I make a killer blackberry pie! Probably not in Hawaii though.
Oooh, that's a clever combination!
I love all of your Project Black pictures Carletta!
You are getting so good at this double take. Love it. the shot is so clear. Screams summer!
Absolutely gorgeous!!! and perfect for both themes, well done!
This is a very beautiful photo with the clouds in the background stating that it is definitely not a supermarket berry!

Luscius-lookig berry. Is it still there or did you eat it? Just wondering. LOL
Blackberries are my favorites, and I don't mean the phone! Lovely photo.
Have a wonderful Ruby Tuesday.
Yummy... We always picked a bunch of blackberries when we were kids and my mom would make jelly and jam. Later, after I got married and mom knew we were coming down for a visit she would have a blackberry cobbler waiting for us when we got there because she knew both my wife and I loved them. We would stop at a store just before we got there and buy some vanilla ice cream.
BTW, trains are not the only thing we tried to hit with rocks. :)
Oh wow...
Mine get like this and I wait one more day before picking the black one and go out the next morning to find them all gone. I suspect a bird but it might be a clever raccoon.
I have yet to get to taste one blackberry. I have several more ripe or just about ripe. I hope to try again soon.
Your photo is right on.
Oh this is awesome, it reminds me of a Celestial Seasonings box, so cute!
Wow, they're beautiful against the sky - like a bouquet!

Love this shot, Carletta! It is just so sharp.
Neal forgot to mention all the chiggers we would get when we went picking blackberries.
How clever of you to incorporate both colors :o)
Have a great Tuesday!
WOW! I LOVE the way you've composed this!! The sky in the background and the Red and Black of the berries! WOW! Very well done!!
Carletta: Oh how I like Blackberries. Ours are still green, I'm jealous.
Carletta,
Wow! This is a beautiful picture- and you got 'Two birds with one stone!'
You're a very smart lady as well as talented! :)
~~~This would make a pretty framed print for a kitchen!!~~~
OH! What a PERFECT choice for black! Gorgeous shot too! Mmmmm....
WOW! I love this photo. The berries look so pretty against that blue sky.
A fabulous shot! The colors pop!! So so fun & summery! :)
Whata camera you have what is it ??
Won't be long before those are ready to make some great jelly, jam, or blackberry cobbler. Can't wait. Pappy.
Oh man...yum. Now all I can think of is blackberry pie - for breakfast - with ice cream. Beautiful...and delicious.
Mmm those look so good! Don't think ours are going to ripen in time this year. Fantastic pic Carletta.
Wonderful shot!!
I love blackberries. It's been so long since I lived by a bush.
Thank you for visiting my A Cook's Bounty blog.
A luscious temptation indeed! Great use of the prompts too.
What a gorgeous photo. They look good enough to eat and the berries look great against the sky.
Thanks for visiting my blog :)
I combined Project Black and Ruby Tuesday also but not nearly as artistically as you have!
the colors are all so wonderful!!
Carletta that works so well for ruby and black!! Great shot...
What a fantastic well thought out shot this is... sure makes one want to eat them..
Fine looking berries, and balanced perfectly - nearly symmetrical.
That is JUST beautiful! We have some blackberries in our yard, but I could NEVER get such a great shot of the sky behind it.
Mouth is watering...: )
Very cool shot. Love the composition.
I LOVE this shot! Wow. I agree with the "gorgeous" remarks. The berries against that sky . . . breathtaking.
While I'm here, thanks so much for your thoughtful comments.
Great job on that! Good Ruby Tuesday to ya!! :D
Those look like the most perfect berries ever grown! What a great way to combine both projects too!!
This is simply outstanding... and brilliant!
how on earth did i miss commenting on this one? it's absolutely stunning and makes my mouth water :)
I can't decide if I'm more blown away by this black AND red photo or the fact you have SIGNS song playing! While riding around the campground Saturday morning, I was singing this song continuously because there were signs to not do this and that everywhere. I was actually going to take photos, and still will and make a complete blog post out of them!
Coincidence? I think not... :)
Outstanding shot for both projects!
You've posted a lot of excellent material since my last visit and this is one of my favorites.
The colors, composition, subject, and background are stunning!
What a great photo! And you are so good at combining themes within one picture!
My berries are ripening as well. Now I think I will go take a photo of them. This is a great shot!
This is great! I enjoyed looking at all your project black photos.
