This motorcycle was sitting outside the restaurant when I took the Black-eyed Susan photo last Thursday that I used for my Take Two shot. Cris posted her motorcycle that day and I commented to her she would probably see mine later. This is it. I really liked that this bike was so shiny that the nearby grass and the blue sky reflected really well. I took a couple of photos and the whole time I was hoping the owner wouldn't come out and wonder what I was doing around his bike.
For all you young readers the quote is from a song that played on an old TV show called Then Came Bronson and starred Michael Parks. He rode a Harley looking for what life put in his path. Parks sang the music track over the ending credits for the show. It was one of my favorite old shows I looked forward to each week all those years ago when I was in high school. We just won't say how many. No fair Googling!
JC, I think this would be a great accessory for your leather jacket.! And Dot, I hope you're reading this today. It has your name on it that I found when I downloaded the photo.
"Going down that long lonesome highway
Bound for the mountains and the plains
Sure ain't nothing here gonna tie me
And I got some friends I'd like to see again
One of these days I'm gonna settle down
But till I do I won't be hanging round
Going down that long lonesome highway
Gonna live life my way."

You sure that's a motorcycle and not an easy chair with dashboard controls? My first car was a motorcycle and it looked nothing like that!
Wow. That's quite a motorcycle. I agree with you about the reflections. It's wonderful. I remember both the song and the show. He was so cool, wasn't he?
That has got to be the shiniest black I've seen yet. I love how tight you got in on this one. Once again, very well done.
I agree with Robert, it's the shiniest black I've seen yet. Great shot as always.
Harley fans gathered in Barcelona for three days but I wasn't there to take a picture, I wanted to very badly but the crowd (more than 15,000 expected motorbikes) and the summer heat talked me out of it!
You are such a rebellious child. You would have been safe even if the owner chanced to come out of the restaurant. That's a Honda Goldwing, and the owner is probably some guy older than me. Pappy
Oooo, shiny! I'm so impressed that I can't find you reflected anywhere in all those angles. Love your other shots too. I would have driven my family crazy staying all day at that barn. Glad you are getting to explore your creative side...
The reflections are really neat. That is well done.
We do crazy things for a photo right! Oh I love this shot, this is shiny and the angle is so beautiful! Thanks for linking me. xoxox
I can dig it! My first bike had a key and a kick start... I miss that old bike. Wonderful shot!
I had to read to find out what that was!
Also, the song playing, Born To Run, takes me back quite a few years. It came out not too long after I moved to Indiana and started working at CBS. It was one of the albums we made....I was quality control in 8-track tapes. Remember them?
Carletta: There are so many great reflection it's hard to tell that there is black. That is really nice.
Awesome photo!! And great post. I don't remember the show, but I do remember the line from the song, lol.
Carletta - LOVE the image of the Harley! I have a 02' Harley Road King that I named "Flo" and I have had MANY of my best hours on her!!!! Peace and contentment abound! Love the poem!
Cheers:-))

Now the thing about these Tour Bikes with LUGGAGE racks is... they're NOT motorcycles! They're volkswagons with the shell removed! Little wannabe SUV's! How can you ride free as the breeze carryin' all that extra luggage!? LOL! Well... that's beside the point isn't it? It worked for YOUR purposes which was photographing something BLACK (and shiny!). And you did it well! (you know... hubby owns bikes... can't help it if I'm a bike snob... *shrug*)
Love that you have Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run" playing! Love that song. I used to be a groupie for a band played it.
Beautiful bike! I love the reflections on it as well. Have a great Monday!
Carletta, gorgeous silver and black (reflections) motorcycle! Great take for Project Black Take 5! :)
All of your project blacks have been very unique!! Great work!
A very unique shot! I laughed when I finally found my name. Too cute!!
I remember the tv show you mentioned and enjoyed watching it. I wonder what ever became of Michael Parks. Probably nothing good.
Excellent shot! Love those reflections - and the bike's not too shabby either :)
OH! I like that and my husband LOVED it!
Those Goldwings are COOL!
What we have is a VICTORY!

Really shiny bike and I love the Bruce S song too.
i'm not a fan of bikes but this looks wonderful!
Fantastic and ... shinning!
liked the reflection
and especially of the motorcycle.
How shiny! I love the reflection!
Yes, I suppose it IS quite appropriate for me to post a picture of piano keys :)
I'm old..I remember and loved that show. I could NOT figure out what this was until I read below photo. Great shot, girl, with the reflections and all :)
Although, he could have come out and you could have told him you have a single friend in NC :)
Wow! That's a great shot! All those reflections make it look like a collage. I had to take a second and third look to figure it all out. There are layers in layers.
Ooooo, shiny. Love the reflections!
Great song (which I do remember...) and the bike is the perfect shiny black for the project. Great shot.
That is one h@ll of a machine to be traveling anywhere on!!
HI Carletta, this is an amazing photo, the reflections are fantastic, this photo can be looked at and displayed in so many ways, and I just love Motor Bikes, there are a few on my blog.
Have added you to my fav list.
