wow! that is an amazing shot :)
I agree with kelley.
He looks pretty intense about it all. Great shot!
A terrific capture! Looks like he is "smacking" his lips, err...beak!
hilarious! great catch!
What a great capture!
Yep, that mockingbird looks pretty happy!
He would enjoy the suet but he also had to work hard for it.
Well captured shot there Carletta and yes, not everyone realises that birds have tongues which perform much the same functions as they do for humans.
A great photo, perfect for the theme!
Great photo - just caught at the right moment!
Carletta, he/she does seem to like the suet. Great capture!
cool shot. :)
s/he looks like he is warning everyone to leave his suet alone!
Quite an unusual capture. I think you are right-- he does seem to be checking it out before swallowing.
Awesome capture, Carletta! That tongue! Great timing and perfect focus. :)
Wow! Great catch!
I thought perhaps he was sticking out his tongue at you for some reason! It's a great picture.
Fantastic shot of the bird in the act.
Crazy legs too! I love it!
What a pretty bird. We don't have mocking birds here, so it really nice to see your photo!
I love mockingbirds. Your bird photo's are always amazing.
Yum yum! We have our Spring mockingbird alarm back again this week. A lovely wake up serenade! (I was worried that he hadn't shown up yet this year... he's later than usual probably because it's been cooler.)
If I didn't know better, I'd say that's the same mockingbird that eats the suet here! :-) Wonderful shot! They can be so bossy.
Fantastic photo.
With the things I've seen Mockingbirds eat, it's hard to believe one could be so particular! :)Nice photograph!
Cool shot of the Mocker!
looks like even the feet are getting involved LOL
Nice picture - and I like the four legged lawn mowers as well.Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW- Stewart M - Melbourne
How interesting...have never seen this behavior at our suet feeders and the Mockingbird~
