Grrrr...Let Us Out Of The Cage: Yard Art

After Mary started this meme I am constantly on the lookout for the ever unique piece of Yard Art. In the past two months Hubs and I have passed this building full of the concrete statues one buys, takes home and lovingly places somewhere in their yard or garden. I'm assuming at the present time they must only be open on weekends because so far on our middle of the week trips they have been closed. We stopped anyway a couple of weeks ago so I could get some pictures. It was hard focusing through the cage but I think you can get a good idea of what's available. I love the bear with paws folded in front of him. For some reason he reminds me of a minister greeting you at the front door of the church!
I spy a cow, a frog, a kitty, a bluebird and oh, look - some gnomes for Patti! :)

*Knee Update and A Blog Hiatus*

I want to thank all of you who have asked or emailed about my knee. After the shot it continues to improve and I'm walking longer each day without a cane for support. I so appreciate your care and concern. Hugs to all of you!
A few of you know I've had a virus problem with my computer. I have anti-virus software and a firewall and yet this is the second time in less than six months that we are having to completely reformat that computer. All of my current photos of the past month are inaccessible. It's frustrating to say the least but it will all come together in due time.
In the meantime and more importantly we are preparing to visit our Grandbabies and celebrate little Lucy's first birthday. It is so hard to believe she is going to be one year old.
So, I'm going to go enjoy myself, put my knee up as much as possible, sit with Grandbabies on my lap and forget all about computers. I won't forget about you my friends but will catch up with you in about ten days or so. Take care of yourselves and here's wishing you "sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows."

Have a wonderful time with your grandbabies! Give them lots of kisses!

That bear is quite comical looking! I've always wanted a cow to put in front of our trailer. :)

Glad the knee is doing better. The virus thing is just awful. I think they're created now to infect the protection so it doesn't actually protect you.

I have all my photos and some other materials in an external hard drive now. They aren't cheap but they aren't outrageous either and then no matter what happens to your computer, your pictures are safe.

Let me know if you want some reiki for that knee.

My dear sweet Carletta...Hau`oli La Hanau to that little Lucy. Boy a year goes so fast. I remember her birth as if it were yesterday :) I hope you enjoy the time off, that your knee continues on it's recovery and more importantly that you enjoy both of your granddaughters to the utmost and time away from your computer. I'm sorry to hear about the virus. Nothing worse. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Your photos were wonderful. Great take on the meme. :)

Please give those adorable kids a hug and a kiss from me and I hope Lucy has a great Birthday.

Wishing you "sunshine, lollipops and rainbows" as well my friend.

hugs to the Grands, and one big smooch for Lucy.
Have a great time away,
I know how you feel, after China invaded my blog I was loosing hair fast! It took some fortitude to delete it but I haven't had a problem since, sometimes it's the places we visit and trust that do us in.

Glad your knee is getting better.

That year flew by! I also remember when Lucy was born.

Enjoy your granddaughters. That must be so wonderful to be a grandma. ;-)

Carletta -- have a wonderful visit with the babies and I hope you knee keeps getting better. I am sorry that I must have missed when you first talked about your problems with it -- probably you posted it when we were having computer problems.

Get better and enjoy your grammy time. And happy first BD to your little one.

Have a wonderful time with the kids, Carletta and hopefully your knee will be much better soon.

How terrible to have a computer virus twice! I hope you find the source.

Great shots! I really like the one with the gnome.

So glad to hear the shot worked and your knee is getting better! Computer viruses are such a pain. Anyone who writes one should be thrown in jail.

Enjoy your visit with your Grandbabies!

I have been remiss in visiting your blog and I apologize. Coming back to it was like a breath of fresh air. It made me smile and somethings made me laugh out loud. I love the way you look at things. I think your view is similiar to mine in looking for that odd shot. It made me realize I need to put more photos on my blog. Keep up the good work. Hope your computer gets back in working order soon.

I've been missing you Carletta, and didn't know it! Please enjoy your holiday. It must be about over now. I am supposing it is a Mothers Day visit.

I do hope your knee is better. I had to have orthoscopy surgery on one of mine. The other has a broken knee cap that doesn't hurt anymore but didn't really heal. We decided (in the operating room, on the gurney table with an IV in my hand) not to tie it back together with bone grafts, screws, and wires.

Lucy must be really enjoyable! We had our KP last week and today they came up again to eat with us for Mothers Day. Mom, Karen, will live to live and work in England on the 16th, the family will follow in a few more weeks.
