This is a deer that frequents my backyard quite often. She has somehow been wounded near the bottom of her back left leg. For awhile she limped and could barely walk but over the past few weeks has healed pretty well and is walking much better and running a little. One day last week on a very sunny day she walked past my sunroom window and when I noticed the shadow I knew she was the subject for this week's Shadow Shot.

Carletta: Neat shot to show the deer and the shadow.
Great capture - well done!
Oh, what a perfect shot! What a lovely little doe she is! Thanks! Happy SSS
nicely Captured, you are truly blessed to have such fine subjects and a spot where they feel so welcome.
What a lucky shot...I don't know how they manage to make it through the thickets they run through without hurting themselves anyway, glad to see she's recovering.
Great capture. That's a lovely shot.
What nice subjects you have there! Great picture.
Your deer friend looks so sweet. I'm so glad that she's recovering from her injury. You are very lucky to have her visit you! Fantastic shadow shot, and you must have been quick off the mark to capture it! Impressive!
Everybody seems addicted w/ our meme every Sunday, huh?
This is soooo cool photo of yours. Great you see this creature running in your backyard.
Keep looking!
I know deer can be terribly destructive, it's wonderful that you welcome her visits, and her shadow.
Poor thing looks haunted by that shadow (and everything else in the moving world).
Nice catch!
great shadow shot!
Even her shadow is pretty. I'm glad to hear she's recovering from her injury.
Nice photo and post!
When I made the photo larger it looks like she has wounds on both legs..Maybe jumping something to get away..glad that she is healing..
Lovely shot. I'm glad she's recovering, too.
Wonderful shadow shot of this deer. I'm glad she's recovering from her injury too.

What a perfect shadow shot. I'm so glad that this deer has a safe haven in your yard to recover from her injury.
Thats a great finch photo above too!
I am glad she had the sanctuary of your neighborhood to heal in, otherwise nature might have taken a different course.
A very poignant shadow...
