Sepia Scenes: All Aboard

Last week I posted a train trestle so this week I thought I would carry that theme along and post a train. As you can see by the leaves on the trees I took this early last fall.
I changed the color photo to sepia and added an old paper effect.

Just a quick note to everyone who is visiting or visited yesterday. We have had four inches of snow with ice on top and have been without power off and on since Tuesday night. The latest has been for a straight seven hours now and word is it will be at least another five if nothing else goes wrong.
Right now my power is a generator and I'm trying to post quickly. I WILL visit you all when power is restored and I can type without my fingers freezing.
Have a wonderful WARM Thursday!
*update: Power was finally restored by midnight last night. What's ten hours when you're trying to stay warm! :) Thanks for all the well-wishes. Now I can visit - yeah!

I like very much this sepia photograph. You well added the old paper effect to make this image excellent.

I heard about this storm passing through your part of the world on its way to New England. I hope all is well for you now. Ice over snow is no fun. Loss of power, even less.

p.s. Like the train and the perspective. Almost threatening in its approach.

Great picture and very good in sepia, seems like I just entered a time machine.

Oh, power outages are such shocks to one's system when we are so accustomed to a life style of buttons and switches and convenience. Hopefully your power source will be back to normal soon.

I love the sepia train for I grew up in a railroad town and trains have always been in the background of memories for me. And I must congratulate you on your choice of musical themes for they are always such a good match to your photos!

Love the train photo. You make me want to go out in the cold and chase down a train.
Hope you get power soon!!

Great subject and nicely rendered! Hope your power's back soon. Been there, done that, hated it! Seems to be a lot of it going around right now.

Stay warm!

Great photo. So far we have had the cold (down to zero and below this weekend) and snow but have kept power. Hoping it stays that way. I'm glad you have a generator so you can stay reasonably (I hope) warm and safe. I will be so happy when this winter is over and I can start complaining about something besides snow and cold.

Interesting photo, Carletta!

Oh, my goodness! Hope your weather continues to improve!

Keep warm!

the train looks like it's just puffed in from the past (even if it's not a steam engine)
great effect

very pretty - I love trains, especially train whistles

hope your power stays on!

I can hear the chomping
and stomping of the engine and the whistle blowing around the bend.

I suddenly was 55 years back embarking on my first train journey.

What an adventure.
A swell piece of work setting me in this mood.

I love the train, it's very nostalgic and I like the way you carried the theme forward. Is there more?
