Lovely shots as always. And you were up at dawn! Maybe if I keep revising my sleep cycle, I'll manage a dawn photo one of these days. Don't bank on it, though. I decided to join in for sky watch this week.
Just lovely. I like the variety you shot also. I put up a sunrise, too with a story... although I haven't had a chance to join the photo group I think you're in. Hope you get a chance to stop by.
Looks like an exclamation point in that last shot, which is fitting.
I hadn't really thought about the difference between a no-fly zone and temporary flight restriction. (Actually I'd never heard the latter term until you mentioned it) But you're correct, the exclusion zone was temporary. I'd seen contrails directly overhead before the day of the rally, and since then as well (including today actually). In any case, they weren't letting anyone even get close on that day. And I probably wouldn't have noticed it if somebody else at the rally hadn't pointed it out.
Gorgeous skies Carletta. I love the bright sun just waiting to rise. We have lots of jets flying over our house, and sometimes these contrails can make interesting patterns.
Great shots. I'll bet those pilots were enjoying watching that sun rise. :-)
In reply to your comment on my photo, it's just lush and green in some places. Most of our hills and mountains are brown and in desperate need of rain.
Hi Carletta, those are pretty pictures. I like your contrails, they all seem to be different. I missed a couple of pretties today here. Happy SkyWatching, thank you for you visit and nice comment. Sorry I'n late returning. ..
It's fun to look up at the airplanes and wonder where they are going, and what the people are thinking, and if they are looking down and thinking the same.

Other than the contrails, the sky is so-o-o clear! Beautiful! We've had a lot of overcast skies lately!
Awesome. You were up early.
Lovely sky - especially the last one, so blue and clear. Thank you for your visit and greetings from Croatia...
I always like to imagine where the planes are going when I look at contrails in the sky. Lovely photos.
From sunrise till blue : in touch with nature you started your day.
Take me up there, so cold here in Norway these days...
Nice weekend
Love contrails when they catch colors at dawn and dusk - these are great!
I wonder if the people in the aircraft, value the skies as much as we do.
Lovely pictures. Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful photo's.
Thanks for commenting on my blog.
Take care
Lovely photos, especially the contrails.

Nice skies. You are lucky to have blue sky!
Beautiful skies you have at your corner of the world. I am partial to the first one.
A very beautifully clear morning. That made your day, I bet.
Beautiful skies,
and the deer in sepia is a great wildlife image!

Carletta: I love the way you work the music into the posts, nicely done with the photos.
Beautiful golden glow on the horizon... love the dramatic contrail with the crisp blue. Awesome!

Nature is truly beautiful! Happy weekend! Hope you can have time to visit my corner too...
These are beautiful sunrise shots and I had to laugh when "off we go into the wild blue yonder" started playing as I got to the jet stream one.
Such a beautiful golden glow! Happy SWF. :)
Those are beautiful pictures. We had a sunrise like that this morning and our temperature was at 5 degrees.
I know they are not the best for the environment, but I've always enjoyed seeing contrails.
Thanks for skywatching with us.
Contrails to you until we meet again... :D
The morning images have a glorious golden glow and yes that is such a true blue sky.
I love the sunrise and the blue sky! You are good!

I love those contrails because my daughter thinks they are shooting stars. I will have to show her these pictures tomorrow.
I love all your photos.
Happy sky watch Friday
And they say nobody is flying anymore.
What a fantastic shot of the sky and the contrails. Thanks so much for stopping over
Love the blue of the bottom one, and the other two are so peaceful.
