I haven't had much time this week to go photo hunting so I experimented with a shot a took a few weeks ago of a deer in my backyard. The photo was a little blurry so I cleaned up the exposure somewhat and then applied an antique color effect as well as bumping up the red color balance just a little. The light colored leaves were yellow in the original color photo. This photo was taken the second of November. The landscape has changed a lot since then. How lucky for you to get a shot of a deer. I remember seeing this one somewhere else in another meme that we both do.
I was fascinated then that you had this shot. And I like it now too in sepia.
It's very interesting how the yellows turned white.
I love the little white leaf hanging down right in the middle and also the moss or wildflowers that are crawling up the tree.

Are the deer still coming into you yard even though there are less places to hide now that the leaves are down?

The sepia just enhances how well the deer can blend into their surroundings doesn't it? How lovely to see deer in your yard .. I get the wild turkeys!
You just about lose the deer in the background. But I guess they count on that huh?

You know... looking at this, I'm thinking that if we could turn the whole WORLD sepia for a month, the hunters would have more of a challenge -- and the deer would have more of a chance! Could be a good thing... or not... I know they're seriously over-populated... but I'll just cry if any of MY bunch get killed.

What a sweet deer. I managed to get a shot of a deer last summer, but it was tiny and blurred. Yours is looking right at us in a beautiful setting.
Sepia would be great camouflage for deer - they'd blend right in during hunting season!

It reminds me there was a deer in our backyard a few days ago, but I couldn't shoot through the window to catch it nor would it have been a good capture. I enjoyed watching her though.
