Last Wednesday I was given this wonderful award by Sandy of I Beati. She created awards for some of the blogs she reads. Her friend Mary helped her in the design. I love this rose on a keyboard. How neat is that! She states people blog for different reasons and read for different reasons. Sandi says she reads for "education, perspective, beauty and creativity and sheer enjoyment." I was on a list of some wonderful blogs and I'm honored to be listed with so many really talented people. Sandi is a transplanted Mountaineer living in Florida. She just recently found my blog so I am especially honored that she wanted to give me the award. I'm glad my blog provides her with scenes of a faraway home she sometimes misses. Thanks Sandy. It's nice to be appreciated. 
On Friday I received an award from Mary of Work of the Poet and Answers To The Questions She has bestowed this lovely statue which is called the "Arte y Pico " award. It was created to be given to bloggers who inspire others with their creative energy and talents no matter whether it be in the form of writing, artwork, design, interesting material, or contributions to the blogger community. Again, I was listed with so many more talented people than I that I'm not sure I'm deserving. However Mary, I do appreciate that you enjoy my blog and find it worthwhile.
**It should be noted here I was working on this post when I found a comment on my blog from fellow blogger Raven of Raven's Nest. What did she have to tell me today? Can you guess? Raven was bestowing this very same award to me. (Boy I sure hope my summer hat still fits my head after this week!! ) Raven is such a kind and gentle soul. She is immensely talented. Her writing and poetry and insight into everyday life is amazing. Thank you Raven. I so appreciate you.
Now the rules say I need to pass this along to five people or in this case maybe it's ten people. I'm going to break the rules here for now and think about the daunting task of just who I should pass this along to. I did however want to acknowledge these wonderful gestures of some very wonderful blogging friends before time passed away too quickly.

I enjoyed learning a bit about you from your ‘tag’ responses. When I drink soda, Pepsi’s my choice as well … and ‘over ice is best’ for sure. I also share your enjoyment of deserted over crowded beaches and am grateful to live a block and a half from the ocean in So Cal. Congrats for the lovely rose ‘Scribe’ award from Sandy and the Arte Y Pico award from Mary, the teach. Both are lovely … and well deserved I’m sure ;--)
