Ruby Tuesday and Catching Up

My lovely daughter-in-law came Christmas day in her own Ruby slippers! Aren't they just gorgeous!!!!!
Hi everyone. Goodness sakes here it is January the 4th already and the days since Christmas and my last post are still somewhat of a blur. Our kids and grandkids were here for Christmas and then we followed them back to Virginia on their return home. My son and his wife left for a vacation in Cancun and we helped our daughter Cindy celebrate her 28th birthday on the 28th. On that day Hubs and I also celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. We met in college on a blind date and have been together ever since. Then on the 29th we celebrated little Lily's 2nd birthday. It seems like yesterday that she first entered our world.
We have arrived back home and our Christmas tree still needs taken down and there's a couple inches of snow and it's still snowing outside.
Christmas has come and gone but since I haven't been able to share pics from the day I hope you'll understand as I share these rubies with you.
This is little Miss Lucy on her first Christmas! I think she is just the cutest!!! She is sitting in what was my little red chair my grandfather gave me when I was a little girl.

A face to fall in love with!

The pillow in the big rocker was soft and furry to feel and very Ruby!

Lily really did not want to sit still so this was a quick shot with the chair.

All Dressed Up

In my little corner of the world jeans or jean capris and a great T-shirt are the MAJOR staples of my wardrobe. In the country you really only need that and two or three "good" outfits and you're covered for just about anything that comes up. But when it's time to dress up a girl needs a few accessories to make that good outfit stand out in a crowd. I'm sure the ladies know what I'm talking about and when it is all said and done you guys like the end result, the pretty picture it all becomes. You guys nag and complain about prep time but in the end you like the eye candy of the whole package whether you admit it or not.

The two images above are a couple of my favorite accessories. The scarf was made in Italy and was a gift years ago. The colors add just the right amount of 'pop' to most plain basic colored outfits and I'm good to go.

Isn't the best accessory for any outfit a great purse and one in basic black! I love this one. My daughter found this Tommy Hilfiger bag at a discount store at HUGE savings. I'm a big Hilfiger fan and she knows it so this was a wonderful surprise. It has a mauve color inside ladies - gorgeous.

Dressing up isn't me; but when I have to I'm good to go!

Oh, I should tell you my darling Cindy also got me a demin bag by Hilfiger with red inside to carry the rest of the time! She's such a wonderful daughter don't you think!

To all the ladies reading I hope you enjoyed the eye candy today and fellows if it's any consolation to you I went to a tractor and truck pull today and will be posting those images real soon!!

H is for HAPPY Faces!

The really happy face belongs to my lovely daughter Cindy. If you are a regular reader you know that I was away for a few days visiting and you might have guessed that the little wide-eyed wonder is my precious little granddaughter Ms. Lily. See how focused she is on Grammy's camera!
Baby Lily is just over four months old and getting ready to cut teeth so she loves something to chew on. She has grown so much since I last saw her in March. Sweet chubby cheeks - don't you just want to squeeze -em! I overheard her mommy teasing her about her chubby little thighs. Her Mommy affectionately tells her she needs a thighmaster!

I wanted to share my lovely girls with you. I had a wonderful visit this past week; but I miss them very much already. Look at those faces ~ how could I not!!!
I hope all of you have a wonderful day. Put on a big smile and as Bobby McFerrin sings - "Don't Worry - Be HAPPY!"
