The white breasted nuthatch is a very striking character with his black and white...just a little different from other black and white birds.

I'm a BIG fan of nuthatches. And you are right...they ARE almost always upside-down.

The photo of the Nuthatch is excellent, but the picture of the shy Mrs. Cardinal is wonderful as well.

The nuthatches and their squeaky door noises come around our suet feeder, too. Cute birds, mostly upside-down as you say!
