Wild Birds

She was just hanging out for lunch.

She didn't particularly care for the lunch partner that showed up.

He listened....

and chose to grab some grub and take a seat elsewhere.
With five inches of snow off and on these past few days this little guy was looking to for what he could steal/get as well. I think he might be praying here that I don't shoo him away.
He had nothing to fear. It's cold and he needs to eat too.

That was quite a conversation they had. Great shots Carletta. Such cute critters! It snowed here last night but not so bad really. I think we may have just been on the edge of the storm.

What a great set of birds (and squirrel!)

I'd love to have some garden birds like that.

Very nice pictures! It does look like that woodpecker didn't want to have anything to do with the blue jay! Enjoyed your captions.

Isn't it interesting that your Red-Bellied Woodpecker has a white chest and mine is slightly brown ... wonder why? Love your story line ... I think you must be very close to what they are thinking. My squirrles don't worry about being chased off anymore they are more than happy to grab and run. They definately get their share. Cute post, Carletta ...

Carletta's Cafe is open to all comers. It's open seating. Feel free to move to another spot if you don't like your table mates. There's plenty of food to go around!

The woodpecker and the jay seem to be having quite a conversation. Love the squirrel's furry little hands.
