Wild Birds: White-throated Sparrow

Sitting and waiting patiently.....

Still waiting.....

and hoping Mr. and Mrs. Downy would soon finish their dinner date.....

Yesterday morning we awoke to three inches of snow and cold temps. By late afternoon the sun had come out and the birds flocked to the refilled bird feeders. I'm hoping that sunshine sticks around!!!

The white throated sparrows are very attractive. Here we hear the song but rarely see the bird. Nice story to go with the photos.

More gorgeous bird shots, loving them on this end as it instills hope in me that we too may get Spring one of these fine days, just not today from the looks of things.

Cheers.

Love the Downys also--and they are regular visitors here too.

Hoping your good weather stays around. Your winter birds are beautiful however! I love that second picture of the sparrow with his head held so quizzically.

HI Carletta Lovely series of shots and commentary. Hope the first bird did get a look in and a good meal in those cold conditions.
