Weekend Reflections

This week we have seen many days of rain or overcast skies. On Monday the rain had stopped and I stepped out on the back deck and saw this reflection of a geranium in the top of the patio table. This image is straight out of the camera. The dark reflection through the water gave it the natural black and white effect.
Slowly the sun began to come from behind the clouds and filter through the pergola above the deck. As it caught the top of the geranium I snapped a long shot showing the reflection of the geranium as well as that of the pot and the deck's railing reflected in the rain covered tabletop.

Great pictures, Carletta... We desperately need rain here... The rains this pat week went ALL around us... We haven't had any significant rain in over 3 weeks. AND--it's so hot and muggy.... Yuk!!!!

Love the reflections.
Hugs,
Betsy

These reflections are just exquisite. They fill my eyes, which is the greatest compliment I can give.

That poor bedraggled flower, and yet you have given it such a beautiful treatment. Thank you for explaining the circumstances as well.

Very nice effect in that reflection. I was just reading somewhere where a photographer takes photos through textured glass like that just for the effect...you are onto something!

Love geraniums, so love your picture. You are so adept at finding and photographing reflections. I rarely even notice them. My bad!
