What a great macro - so crisp, and such wonderful colors too.
----------------- I've entered a major international photo competition (details are on my blog) and would be most grateful if you'd click through and rate my portfolio (just click on the stars at the bottom (preferably the 5th star - "fantastic" - LOL), easy peasy, no registration or personal details needed). Thanks so much!
This is a bud of ruby, a Spring delight as it opens up in warm month of May. The ant is an interloper, but he adds to the frame quite well. As always, a great capture!
Lucy and Lily are positively adorable, and so happy when Grandma visits! They pose so well...
Wow, Carletta, magnificent macro shots! I remember we used to have peonies in our yard when I was a kid. The ants like the buds a lot! Happy Ruby Tuesday! :)

Your spring flowers may be mostly gone, but this peony appears to be just starting! The second shot is lovely, so full of promise!
Thanks for the visit!
Beautiful shots. The title makes me want it to be a children's book, with the further adventures of the ant!
Really nice macro...and just a hint of the glorious red to come.
wow superb macro shots Carletta :) nicely done!

Really nice shots Carletta!!!
Excellent shots! Peonies always seem to have ants on them. They must be extra sweet.
I love peonies. And wherethere are peonies there are ants.
Beautiful macros Carletta - will enjoy seeing that peony in bloom...
Lovely shots, Carletta! We do like our ants with our peonies. :) Hope you are feeling much better!
Great shots. I love peonies. Can't wait to see them in bloom. How are you feeling? Better, I hope.
Such a good shot with the ant! Yours came out so clear. My ant was blurry. I had to resort to trickery to get a decent shot.
WOW!
Absolutely wonderful macro shots, Carletta!
Happy belated Ruby Tuesday ;-)
I never would have known what kind of flower that is.
