This was a much closer shot and when I downloaded the photos of that day I was totally surprised. It looks like I was looking through glass. It reminds me of looking through a glass shower door, you know, the kind that you can never seem to get clean. :)For more Weekend Reflections join James here.

Great ones! I tried to take a cattail reflection recently but the picture was no good - I like yours much better :) I like the second one too, ripples make stuff look pretty cool. 72? Lucky!
That last photo looks like artwork.
This why I like reflections on water. A slight change in wind or something else and you get a whole new wonderful look. These are great.

The first shot is a nice one but the second is a work of art -- way better.

Richard Olsenius in "National Geographic Field Guide -- Digital Black and White with film techniques explained." Hefty title and a good little book. I borrowed it from the public library.
Both pictures are nice, but that second one is great. The pattern in the water is quite a scene.
Both are lovely reflections but I especially like the second one. Your description of the glass shower door is perfect.
My favorite is the second shot, it looks like a frosted glass!
