Shadow Shot and SOOC Sunday

This is my son and daughter in law's lovely little breakfast niche in their home. On the Sunday morning we were leaving I thought the sun coming through the blinds created some lovely shadows.
There is one of these little alcoves on all but one floor of the four story home.
Oh, by the way, under that cake platter on the table was the remains of a german-chocolate cake made with coconut flour. My son found he is allergic to wheat flour so they have been experimenting with alternatives. The cake was delicious!!!
This is my grandkitty Susie soaking up the warmth of the rays on that gorgeous reflecting wooden floor. I love the shadow of the blinds on the floor and the shadows in the chair seat and sweet Susie!
Both images are as they were - straight out of the camera!

That must be a really beautiful house. Love the hardwood floors and big windows. Sweet Susie seems content. I've never heard of coconut flour. I'll have to tell my daughter, who has celiac and can't eat wheat products.

Both lovely photos of a lovely niche. I like the cat, too.

I have experimented with rice and soy flour, but not coconut flour. I finally decided it was just too much trouble, so I have given up bread, pasta, etc. Cake flour doesn't have much gluten, so it doesn't bother me much, but, then, I only eat a very small piece occasionally when celebrating someone's birthday.

My Shadow Shot is HERE.

I love the sunshine streaming through the windows, and this shows off the beautiful wooden floor. I also love the pattern of the blinds on the floor. The table and chairs look so inviting. Kitty-cat is soaking up the morning sun. I can almost hear the purring.

Like it's just waiting for someone to raise the blinds and sit awhile.
