I was away from home on Memorial Day so last week I visited the cemetery at the church where I grew up. I have family members buried here going back to my great grandparents families. The original church was built in 1858 but rebuilt just over twenty years ago because lightning struck the bell tower and burnt the wooden church to the ground. The steel bell was cracked from top to bottom. (A sepia image of the bell is located on my photoblog,
here.)
I took a shot through one of the windows and was delighted you could see through the church to the window on the opposite wall.
Zooming in through the window I was able to see the stained glass window that woul
d be directly behind the pulpit.

Great shot. The window looks austere but interesting.

How wonderful it would be to know whee your great grandparents are buried...but so sad that the original church burned down.
Lovely. I especially love that first shot looking through both windows.
Love the way you can see clear through.
