This monument is for the daughter and granddaughter of American Revolutionary War officiers. She died at the age of seventy and was buried in the cemetery in 1852.
Besides the basic sepia tones in this image I also added some illumination effects.
This is my original photograph which I really like as it is. The shadows on the monument are from the tree under which the gravesite is located.

These are beautiful Carletta. Very very nice :)
The first one looks very gothic.
The second one looks like a saint going to heaven.
The third one is a great shot.
What a beautiful monument. It offers a view that you don't see these days. The illumination over the statue adds an almost divine look - as if your prayers are being heard. Which they are...
The first is my favorite. I'll be following you and Mary when I get a chance.
All the shots are great but I like the first and last images the best. The statue is beautiful.
I like what you did with these!
I have mine up too.

Gosh these are wonderful Carletta.
Your processing skills are so good!
A lot of emotion in that statue. Each of them has a different feel to it, I'd have to agree with Nessa.
Lovely. I really like these.
Like the grace of GOD is shining down on her - Nice sepia
I like the slanted lighting. Very dramatic in an eloquent sort of way.
All are good in sepia, well done and creative.
Emotions are felt via the statues in your shots. Lovely.
she looks like a vision, well done

They are lovely in sepia, very dramatic. Each on evokes a different emotion.
I do like the original too! The sepia actually seems to detract from this particular statue -- UNTIL you cast the sun light on it! That was genius! Very nice effect!
Quite an interesting gravestone.
I like how it looks in sepia, and the illumination you have added to the second one is stunning.
I also like the original. I can't pick a favorite!
I like your original photo too but I'm interested in the illumination effects in your sepia version. Neat, Carletta!
Just stunning.
Very lovely in all the colors. An interesting monument. The sepia really enhances its age.
I love those!!! And I love the effect of that shadow, it looks like a scene from a fairy tale now!
I like what you did with the sepia of this photo. Very appropriate.
You have took great, modern versioned-photos of the old statues, that's ssomething I really like!
Martha was obviously much loved. What an amazing tribute. The sepia is perfect for this, the illimination gives it a whole other aspect. It's beautiful, Carletta.
I love the original photo. Your sepia work makes it look like an old daguerreotype, though, which is pretty cool.
I don't know how I missed these shots, Carletta. They are very unusual and beautiful! :)
