Mellow Yellow Forsythia

These are a couple of shots of a small forsythia branch that I pinched off of the bush and brought inside and stuck down in a cup of water. That's all I did. About a week later - blooms.
Guess you could say I made spring come to me!

Forsythia is so beautiful. One of my favorites. It's the first thing I plant, wherever I live.

Well at least you have Spring somewhere. I write this in the midst of a mini blizzard.

The forsythia is a true harbinger of spring. Still too early here. I went to a bulb show where I saw some today, though.

So pretty.

I have got forsythia in my front and back yard but it's not yet in bloom. I love forsythia. Your photos are lovely and I think it's a great idea to take details of a flower! Thanks for sharing.

It's always like a peaceful retreat to come here. Beautiful flowers. It's gray and gloomy here today and raining, but there are LARGE wonderful patches of grass showing. Spring is on the way!

You did bring spring forward a good leap. Such wonderful colour on this bloom. Thanks for cheering my day on a cold and wintery evening when a snow blizzard is blowing outside.

Oh, Carletta, I have had Forsythias blooming like this since New Year, but never in a million year could I make such a beautiful macro of this tiny flower.

Carletta these are one of my favorite blooming shrubs...I think they are so bright and beautiful in the early spring.

Great photos...thank you for the picture of these. I haven't managed to get one to grow since moving from the east coast!

See you in a bit for RT!!

Today as I was driving around looking for spring flower photo ops I was thinking of your post (at your other blog) of forcing the Forsythia. We have a hint of the color showing on the Forsythias, but not much. Great idea to bring it to you.
