This is week nine of Melli's Wednesday ABC Challenge. She wants us to find the alphabet revealed either in nature...or elsewhere...but found naturally--unassisted by us. Todays letters are Q and R.
Q as found in the rubber sealing ring of this reproduction clamped glass lid Ball jar. This particular jar was produced in 1976 for the Bicentennial Celebration.
R as found in a community waterpipe.

Great job, Carletta. You're right, the worst of the lot are behind us now!
Good eyes, Carletta!
Great detective work, Carletta
Excellent!!!! Just plain excellent for your finds this week.
They're both very clever!
I love your Q!! and all that rust on your R. Great finds!!!
Great Q and R. I think you all are saying the Q was hard but you all are so good at this that they sprout up all over. Excellent
AWESOME! You really had to do some diggin' for that Q! Well... I don't know that I would have SEEN it while it was still on the jar... so I'm very impressed! And that pipe must have been set there 50 years ago - just for you! What a great "r"!
What a perfect Q! I'm so impressed by all the Qs I am seeing today, when I felt sure this would be the hardest letter. And that's a great r, too.
This is a very interesting meme. It makes you think and you did a great job. I will have to try it some time..
Great Q - I have a million of those around and never thought of them.
Yup, sliding down the alphabet now!
Clever as always.
I am never any good at this kind of meme, but I do enjoy seeing what others come up with. Great finds Carletta.
cool and clever finds!
Somehow that "Q" seems meancing?
Of course I haven't been doing this, is there a reward for the finishers? Like in the Amazing Race reality show?
Happy RT, I hope your St. Patrick's Day was happy too. It ought to be with your Irish heritage. I am about ninth from last in signing up this week.
I do like your leprechaun very much. I had one to put on but it was on my other computer but I was already running late so I decided to skip it. Thanks for sharing your very nice find.
..
That's something ! Congratulations !
I tried this week to find a Q just for fun, but saw nothing and Arthur doesn't make Qs with his tail. Only Cs.
You are THE BEST at these! That Q and r are FABULOUS finds!!
Excellent idea, creative and clever
Wonderful! Love the Q one. You're observation skills are excellent.
