Camera Critters: The Mallards At The Pharmacy

I stopped at the local pharmacy one day last week and as you can see there seemed to be a Mallard Convention going on at the side of the building. The fifty or more ducks were near the back door of the store. I couldn't see any food and they weren't where customers park but at a service entrance. See Mr. and Mrs. Duck there in the center. They seemed to be the leaders who had everyone follow them to my Jeep. However, notice the mallard in the center of the image. He's the one who seems to be honking the orders.
" No food at this Jeep. Turn around and go back to your positions."

Have a 'honking' good day!

Oh, that's just ducky! (oooo... my bad!) They thought it was the Duck Store - not the Drug Store! (okay... I'm leaving now!)

It's an unusual situation and good that you captured it to share with us.

How cute! So funny you comment about having a "honking good day" also! You were lucky to find so many mallards! Was there a sale at the pharmacy for mallard goods? hehehe...

Loved this! Reminds me of a killdeer convention in the parking lot where I worked a few years ago.

Perhaps the doctor that wrote their prescription was a "quack", and they were staging a little duckie riot...I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist.

Looks like they were enjoying themselves

Perhaps they were discussing the next leg of their trip? :-)

Wow, so many ducks gathered together by the store. Customers must have been surprised to see them.

Goodness, what a sight.

I think I would be in a state of shock if I saw this many mallards at my drug store, then I would reach for the camera. Great post!

This was too cute. How interesting that they'd be hanging out like that. I wonder if someone normally feeds them. I remember my post about the flock of pigeons on a roof. They were waiting for feeding time and I was lucky enough to be there to capture it.

This is funny! Someone must feed them there. I wonder what they would buy if they get in?
