On a recent trip to Sugarcreek, Ohio where most of last week's posts were from I stopped by a Lehman's store in Kidron, Ohio. The store stocks old fashioned merchandise. You can find oil lamps, cast iron cookware, tin toys, and wood-burning cook stoves among many other items that are shipped worldwide. The store is three pre-Civil War era buildings put together. One side of the store was painted to look like a barn. Here are some closeups of the animal murals.

Wake Up Ladies!!
Hi, my name is Wilbur.
And for all of you who need to see a real critter here is a little bird on a wire. I was at my Moms when it landed on a utility wire just above my head. I thought he would fly before I aimed my camera and was surprised he didn't. However I was only able to get this silhouette. Those little claws hardly look big enough to grasp that wire.
To see more Camera Critter's click the badge at the top of my post. Misty would love you to join us. You never know what you'll see!

Love those murals! A wonderful way to highlight the beauty of animals for all to see!
And your little bird shot is so cute!
Wow! I need a barn. Wait. I can't paint. Well, not like that anyway.
Wish I could paint pretty pictures like those!
Great shot of the bird on a wire, Carletta.
Thanks for sharing those!!
Love those murals...they are wonderful. Sometimes I wouldn't mind doing some big scene on an inside wall...
THAT is a FAT little bird! And I just LOVE Wilbur! What great barn art! I drive around through all these back roads and see all these beautiful old barns around here - and I keep PICTURING murals on them -- but we only have ONE that I know of in the entire county... and I've already featured it quite awhile back... Maybe I need to build a barn!
Enjoyed these...real and not.
Wow! Wonderful murals!
The Moo shot is too good.
Lovely murals. At first, I thought the first one was real.
i loved the murals! hehe... nice to see a real critter too! :)
What a great idea for the building. The horse and colt painting is beautiful.
I like that Wilbur shot. All the murals are great! Wish I had thought of that. :)
At first I thought they were real! I'm fond of murals, and these are wonderful.
a great way to decorate an old store, and well captured!
love the birdie, too :)
That is beautiful!! and reminded me to stop by a store in my village with awesome paintings, saw it driving by and didn't have time to stop. Have a wonderful weekend!
Hi!
Those murals are awesome! Sounds like my kind of store! It always amazes me that birds can sit on those wires. Thanks for stopping by my place. Take Care!!

Those murals are absolutely awesome! I LOVE that - I told Hubs that I would love to have a mural painted on the side of our barn.
Carletta: Nice paintings on the building and that little bird is super.
OH my gosh! I've heard of Lehman's but have never known anyone who has actually been there. OK, I admit it. I'm jealous. ;-)
What a great mural! Someone is very talented.
Those are great pictures of great murals.
Fabulous murals and of course the bird on a wire is just so cute.
Well done ... that's a fun barn. Judging from the opening on your blog, up top, you must be familiar with Shel Silverstein's "Where the Sidewalk Ends." You're opening quote reminds me of that.
There should be more Murals in Life. Nice Post.
What a neat place. I thought that was a real horse in the first picture. Fantastic murals - I do like Wilbur. You always have great posts!!
Oh neat! Someone is a good artist! Great captures Carletta.
Wow love that mural. The bird shot is to cute. Thanks for sharing.
Carletta these are beautiful. i love murals.
lovely murals!
Those murals are so detailed and realistic. Cool!
The Talk to the Animals song came on when I clicked over to your page and it brought my daughter, Sarah, running over. She loves animals.
Those murals are beautiful! What a great job they did! Thanks for sharing that. Enjoyed your appropriate music too. :-)
Somebody worked hard on this. At least this barn won't need mucking out.
That is so cool. Love the mural, great idea for a place like that. And your bird on a wire is a great capture.
Oh My....those murals are FABULOUS! My mind is boggled by those with such talent!! WOW!
Cool murals. I love the live critter too. I always feel like I've gone on a little trip when I visit you here.
An excellent post. The murals are beautiful.
Good idea : if you don't have farm animals, paint them :-) Cute little bird on a wire. Your Amish photos are interesting : their barns look newer than the average flemish farm, that they work with horses instead of engines is something I really value high. (P.S. I've added your link in my list of meme mates).
Those are great murals. :)
isn't that lovely??Sandy
What a fun mural!! Neato! Wish I had it. :)
Those are so cute..somebody took some time with that...
New Rambling Woods Site
