Watery Wednesday:
The Stream, Um...Creek

On a recent trip to buy some apples I came upon this bridge. Of course, I had to check it out.
Walking up close I shot this scene between the bridge supports.
Closer and looking down I captured this tranquil scene complete with the bridge's shadow.
I zoomed in to the flowing water of the stream. In my little part of the world we call it a creek!
I so remember growing up and wading in water like this. Doesn't it make you want to walk right in? Watch out for the crawdads - they might tickle your toes!

I always love looking down from bridges. These are lovely pictures and they contain a sense of privacy between you and the bridge.

Gattina is right, it's VERY WATERY here in Belgium, the sunshine and the reflection of the bridge in that cool water, really make me envious!

I would have had to get out and take pictures, too. I could sit there all day and just watch the water flow on by.
Great pictures!

We call them creeks here in Ontario too, Carletta. ;-) You seem to live in a watery area. I love all the bridges you post!

There was a creek that run by our house when we were growing up. I waded in it, fished in it, and sometimes sneak and went skinny dipping in it. :)

I love to photograph old bridges. I can imagine the vintage cars and maybe a buggy or two crossing the creek. Great post.
Happy Wednesday.

Such a nice old bridge and view. I like stopping by bridges and just looking down like that. We are so dry right now, many little creeks aren't running at all.

Oh Carletta, that looks like the perfect place to take kids and let them wade and play and look for crawdads!

Nice pictures, I can see why you stopped to take some shots. Very peaceful. I remember playing is creeks at my Grandparents home in West Virginia, when we would visit them in the summer. Lots of fun memories.

Those are such peaceful shots. I also remember wading into the water in creeks. I think watery wednesday is a great idea. I noticed some other participants whose blogs I visit but I haven't done that one yet.
