On a recent trip to buy some apples I came upon this bridge. Of course, I had to check it out.
Walking up close I shot this scene between the bridge supports.
Closer and looking down I captured this tranquil scene complete with the bridge's shadow.
I so remember growing up and wading in water like this. Doesn't it make you want to walk right in? Watch out for the crawdads - they might tickle your toes!

I would have stopped too. I love running streams and listening to the water flow. Nice shots!
I always love looking down from bridges. These are lovely pictures and they contain a sense of privacy between you and the bridge.
If you only knew how right you are with your watery wednesday ! It rains cats and dogs here !
Thanks for this nice, personal visit to the creek for Watery Wednesday.
Gattina is right, it's VERY WATERY here in Belgium, the sunshine and the reflection of the bridge in that cool water, really make me envious!
I would have had to get out and take pictures, too. I could sit there all day and just watch the water flow on by.
Great pictures!
Carletta: What a neat shot of the bubbling brook.
We call them creeks here in Ontario too, Carletta. ;-) You seem to live in a watery area. I love all the bridges you post!
Love how you staged your comments and pics till we experienced the final closeup!
Lovely pics!
Really like these photos.
There was a creek that run by our house when we were growing up. I waded in it, fished in it, and sometimes sneak and went skinny dipping in it. :)
you get a line and I'll get a pole, :)
I love to photograph old bridges. I can imagine the vintage cars and maybe a buggy or two crossing the creek. Great post.
Happy Wednesday.
wonderful pictures!very nice
Perfect peaceful shot for WW..
I love your creek shots, you're making me want to go for a country drive. Since my camera and computer aren't communicating I can't play along...sad blogger girl.
I love bridges like that... and that water does make you want to wade in... Beautiful photos. Always nice to wander the roads with you and see the beauty of your part of the world.
Such a nice old bridge and view. I like stopping by bridges and just looking down like that. We are so dry right now, many little creeks aren't running at all.
Oh Carletta, that looks like the perfect place to take kids and let them wade and play and look for crawdads!
Hi Carletta, great photos, love those old bridges and always find water shots very peaceful to look at.
Hi Carletta! So glad you liked me pics. I love looking at everyone else's, too. I never realized how much I love pictures of water before.
the bridge, the stream... er, creek, they look beautiful.
so glad you stopped and took these pics :)
Crossing bridges used to scare me but now I find it fun to cross one. Nice shots!
Beautiful. Thanks for stopping!
Nice pictures, I can see why you stopped to take some shots. Very peaceful. I remember playing is creeks at my Grandparents home in West Virginia, when we would visit them in the summer. Lots of fun memories.
You have a beautiful bunch of photos to remember the day you went to buy apples.
Those are such peaceful shots. I also remember wading into the water in creeks. I think watery wednesday is a great idea. I noticed some other participants whose blogs I visit but I haven't done that one yet.
That is a beautiful sky. You were lucky to catch those pictures.
I hope you got some good apples! I love these pictures, especially the first one. One bridges are just plain nice to look at.
