A Surprise Guest

In my part of the world it is almost fall and I had been wondering what I was going to post. Then, this week my White Iris decided it was time to put forth some more color.
Today's Flowers is hosted by Luiz Santilli, Jr. Clicking on the logo at the top of my post will take you to a bouquet of color from around the world. Enjoy.

Lovely photos of white. I like the bits of yellow in the second; is that coreopsis? Or another yellow flower? Wonderful to see the curled up iris.

Lucky you to have such a beauty! I've never seen a white iris before and I love the yellow in the background.

Hi, Carletta! I've been here before because I recognized your captions and picture. So glad I returned after you left that kind comment on my blog.
Your white iris and its little guest are such beautiful pictures. Thanks so much for sharing them. And your music is lovely, too.

Beautiful pictures ! I think we are approaching automn too and that is hard because we didn't have any summer. Just a few days of heat and sunshine. I don't like automn it announces winter and that I don't like either !

That must have been a surprise in deed! Lovely those white flowers. Here are only a few flowers now, because we, too, are having autumn.
Thanks for visiting and I wish you a great week.

Wow, what a beautiful series. Gorgeous flowers. My trees are moving along in thinking it's much further into Fall than it actually is. No flowers here, alas, but it's nice to enjoy the beauty of your garden.

A great capture! The first is really precious, given how tough whites are.
Bravo!

It's been years since I've seen one of these. This is just exquisite and your photos cause me to feel as if I'm standing right there looking at it.

That silky iris looks so pure and undefiled... except of course for the stink bug. Aw, gee. Can you imagine the stigma that follows a critter around, simply on account of that name? Stink bug. I almost feel sorry for it. Anyway, the flowers are heavenly!

Carletta, that sure is a beauty...and so nice that it is blooming this late in the season! the iris is one of my favorite flowers of all time.

Beautiful photos! The iris is such a pure white too. I took a shot yesterday of a stinkbug on the berries - made me think twice about eating them LOL.
