Through My Window:My Favorite View

I have been joining Robert (Thoughts of a Father) this week in his photo project titled "Show Me." Today he has asked participants to post photos of their favorite views from their home. For a few weeks now I have reserved Thursday to post photos of the view Through My Window. It is one of many favorite views in my home. One day this week the skies were gorgeous. I love sitting at my computer and being able to see nature all around me. For some thirty years I lived in a subdivision with someone living on each side of me and in front and back of me. It is a wonderful pleasure to look out and see space and nature.

This week the turkeys have been coming in to the yard in great numbers some days. They come to eat the spilled seed from the bird feeder. This past Monday there were ten here together as you can see. There were seven gobblers and three hens.

And who wouldn't love this view! This is one of two fawns that have come to the yard this summer. This one is the youngest and seems to like the flowerbed around the oak tree. I took this on Sunday but I've seen it everyday this week.

The skies are the best thing about the view out my window. This was just before sunset the other night. I did walk out on the deck and take this so it wouldn't be through the glass of the sunroom window.

Last week I participated in an "Opening Doors" challenge with Jientje and posted some photos of my deck and the views I can see from there. If you didn't see those please click (here) to see more of the favorite views at my home.

What a wonderful view you have. I am so envious of the deer and the turkeys... lately nobody has been visiting my back yard... even sparrows and robins and blue jays seem to have forsaken me. I'm sure they'll return but I am very lonely for them.

Your views all seem wonderfully free of electric wires too.

Hard to believe it is 9/11 yet again. I had company this evening, so I probably won't post anything new until morning.

I hope to one day have a view of fields and streams when I look out my window. For now I'll let my jealousy show through.

The view through your window is gorgeous. It reminds me of something my daughter told me about sitting and looking out your window and listening to God speak to you. You have a great place to sit, listen and enjoy the world around you.

You're very lucky (in my humble opinion) to have such fantastic views, I loved the deer especially.

Just about all of my photos are shot from one room or another in my house so I would have a tough time picking one.

My wife and I spent some considerable amount of time last week counting my photos using a computer and a calculator. When it went past 40,000 digital images we just flat out quit. It is a real job trying to count them even with a computer.

Anyway, the two photos you chose are really nice. I can wish for turkeys or deer but that just won't happen here where I live. It is a big surprise to see a baby rabbit.

My Sky Watch Friday blog is at my Canon Pixels blog. If you have time I would appreciate your having a look at the sky peeking through the oak tree leaves.

Hi Carletta, I pick the fawn picture, next will be the birds and I don't even like birds, third will be the pretty sky taken from under the porch.
I hope your friends in Freeport will do alright. Their biggest problem will be their levee. If it holds and isn't topped, they should be as there isnt the strongest winds there.
Happy SkyWatching, thank you for your visit and nice comment. We appreciate your prayers as do your friends.
