Some schools have had a few days with students this past week; but today marks the first day for many, many other students across the country. I'd like to send special wishes today to The Teach , Robert , and my friend Doris for a happy successful school year.
Please take a few extra moments in your morning commute to watch out for our children.

Ruby Doors! Very good!

I am missing school. Next year I will go back, but I need this down time to heal from the fiasco that was last year.

Great photos, Carletta. Red doors in a beautiful building do double duty, lol. and the bus doors so suit this time of year. Thanks much for reminding me to drive carefully. Having no children, I tend over the summer to forget about school zones and need to remember that again in September. A friend of mine teaches school, so I know that the kids here start today too.

Great doors, and I love the angle on the bus shot. School started here yesterday too, but no school buses. We visited the States last month and it is my son's great wish that he get to ride a school bus someday LOL.

That school bus reminds me of how much I hated to see school start when I was a kid. I worked hard in school but that didn't mean I liked it. :)

Doors of the church are lovely. The school bus reminds me that my daughter started first grade today. And so her mommy is anxious.

I tried to leave on comment on the previous post, no luck...so will try again. I must say that for me there is just something about red doors...and I love them.

My school started last Monday. I'm taking it easy on blogging with full time job and school it's getting pretty busy...

WELL! You took ONE of my idea for a different door -- but I BET you won't get the other one -- and I'll save it until Saturday just to give you a chance!!! LOL! I do LOVE the school bus -- and of course, I love the church door! :)

Red paint on the doors of a church. It seems so fitting, and a common sight on old white churches onthe green of many New England churches.

A classic color, that Red!

Lovely red doors!

Yes, today was the first day of school here in Ontario. The kids don't look all that happy but the parents do. LOL I think many teachers are probably the least happy of all, though. It's hard work.

I love the red door! Stunning shot:) Mine is HERE if you have a time! Thanks!

I love how people were able to find red doors for both of these challenges. The School bus door is genius for this week :0)
Have a wonderful Tuesday...
Oh and about the comment about the Brady bunch. I answered on my blog that we definately had a bunch of people living there (I have 7 siblings) but we were nothing like the all american brady's.

beautiful red door on a beautiful church

school opens Thursday here and already the police are stopping and warning speeders!!

I can't believe people don't slow down in a school zone!!

impressive door, and red too! love it.

school year starts here habitually on 1st september (unless it falls on weekend) so streets are full of youth these days...

Those doors are beautiful. They really compliment all the stone work of that church. I especially like the lights on the side.
Happy RT.

You must be the only person in blogland that can handle two themes in one photo ... consistently!! LOL

Awesome shot! And great reminder for school days. I try going to work later and coming home earlier so I don't interfere with the little kiddies and their buses!

Hi Carletta, Happy RRtU! I see you have finished with bridges and now are on to doors. These two are great.
I guess I could use a shiny red sports car next week, the two I have caught lately are orange and pink ones. There are a lot of cars on my blogs though.

A Blue Bird bus! I know my buses because my uncle owned a bus transportation company and now my brother owns a bus broker company. Wait! Those were yellow doors!
I love the red church doors? Why red on the church??

There does seem to be a lot of churches with red doors just none around here. Love the bus doors. We live across from a school so we have been extra careful.

I see I missed this one. Love red door and also good message for watching out for the children riding the school bus. I was lucky not to be hurt too bad but when I was in third grade I was hit by a car when I crossed the street after getting of the bus. That was over 40 years ago but it had a big impact on me and my being careful when driving and also protective when my daughter was growing up. I did hear the train song this time. Perfect choice for those great train shots.
