Through My Window Thursday

The View From My Window

Quite a few weeks ago I posted an image taken through my sunroom window depicting a very hot sulty day. (see here) I have since taken other shots through that same window that reflect my daily observations here Round The Bend.
I thought today I would share another of those images with you and post others on subsequent Thursdays. Hopefully the view will be everchanging. We'll see how it goes.

About The Image
The three dogs you see all belong to different neighbors. I took this photo in May. I happened to be near my camera and was able to grab it quickly when I saw them coming from the woods behind my home. This post isn't about getting the dogs on film because they are in my yard. No, these three pals go out hiking together. I guess that's what they do. Sometimes I see them running in a line out to the woods behind my home. Usually I don't see them until they are coming back as you see here in the photo. Gypsy is the one in front. She is very old and belongs to my neighbor across the road. I don't know the names of the other two. When they come back from their hike they are always walking and Gypsy is always the leader. She always stops by my Rose of Sharon bushes and turns to see if the other two are following. When she sees they are she turns back around and keeps on walking. They always come out of the woods at the same spot and practically walk down my property line on their way home.

I think the whole thing is just so cute. They act like little kids who are the best of pals!

What's in view through your window today?

***Hi everyone! I'm back from my visit with baby Lily and it was a wonderful visit. I have over 300 pics to download. Yes, I took a whole memory card full. The nine hour trip home was exhausting; but I'll post some pictures in a couple days. Thank goodness I had tonight's post ready to go.***

Welcome home. Can't wait to see some of the shots from your trip. This one of the dogs is nice and I enjoyed reading the story behind the picture.

Welcome home. Three hundred pictures! Well done! I like your idea of out the window Thursday. Off to a good, interesting start. I'm such a creature of habit myself. It's interesting to see it in other species as well.

Loved looking through your window! it's a great idea.
It's fun that these dogs go for hikes together. The little dog across the streets spends the afternoons with his visitor: a cat from the neighborhood. I see them napping or playing together, they are fun to watch.
Glad you made it home safely. Can't wait to see your pictures!

Welcome home, Carletta.

I sure missed you!

Wow! That's a bunch of pictures but for a grandbaby it's to be expected! :) I'm looking forward to seeing some of your trip pictures!

And I like that one of the doggie pals! :)

Carletta: Glad your back, your photo just shows how a pack of dogs revert back to their wolf origins. I love it when ours digs in the carpet to bury a bone.

WELCOME HOME! You were missed! We had a pair of dogs in our neighborhood a few years back that were like that! They didn't live together, but you never saw one without the other. Sometimes they would come down to our yard and play with Jewl -- but of course, she couldn't run off with them - we have an electric fence. It was always so sad when they left because she would just sit at the very end of the boundary and whimper. You could HEAR her thinking come back! Come back! Eventually it got to be only one of them wandering over. And then she quit coming to. THAT was even sadder.

I checked out the post with the first picture too. I have done that meme... even recently... but I must say - you're weird facts are MUCH more interesting than mine! LOL! (even though we share red hair and a pepsi preference!)

Welcome back! I am so glad you are home....first off, thank you for my Super Commenter Award!

Then I got to tell you I loved your post about your church and the one about the covered bridges.

And I love today's post...since I love dogs, cats, all things with fur, I like observations like this.

A 9-hour trip? Sheesh! I'd be afraid of taking long trips these days for fear that rigor mortis might set in.

I'm glad you're back!

Oh, and when Gypsy looks back, how do you know she's not wondering which of the other two just fouled the air?
