REAPING THE HARVEST

How Does Your Garden Grow?
Ours grew with cucumbers, berries, cabbage, onions and tomatoes!

(click to enlarge for yummy detail)

Yum, Yum

There were red and green bell peppers and banana peppers to freeze for later, cabbage and onions to go with a corned beef dinner, yummy berries for a cobbler for two, green beans and tomatoes to can for winter and cucumbers for salads and yummy fried green tomatoes and fried zucchini too!
The baskets of beans and tomatoes that you see in the last collage were picked just last evening. Do you think Ms. Carletta will be busy for a couple of days? She most certainly will!

Have a Blessed Sunday everyone!

Yum! I love fresh from the garden veggies! I've been growing my own tomatoes on the lanai and enjoying them. The next best thing to fresh is home canned or home frozen. The work is worth the flavors.

What time is lunch? I doubt if I'll have time to make it this Sunday, but if you keep posting like this, you might just heart the throaty roar of my old bike coming down the lane. Pappy

emmm-mmmmm good! Your pictures are so appealing.

We got our garden out late--we only have a few tomato and bell pepper plants. Tomatoes are not so great but having lots of bell peppers!

Wow! Now I'm hungry. These are beautiful collages. How lovely to grow your own feast. My garden, alas, lives an untended life and gives back as it is given to... Well, it actually gives back better than it is given to since I enjoy the greenness that I have done nothing to deserve.

Looks good enough to eat!! Doesn't it always taste better when we grow it ourselves?

Ok that's it - I'm moving in because you grow my favorite veggies - you won't need to can or freeze them - I'll be too busy eating them LOL.
On a serious note isn't it wonderful to be eating the fruit of your own labor on a fine winter evening? Super collages Carletta.
