Just how many of my regular readers didn't see that coming!!!
Yes folks this is my JEEP! It takes me on my many adventures down rural country roads in search of whatever catches my eye and makes me grab my camera. If only she could talk. I'm sure she would tell you about the two deer that crossed our path as we were leaving for our shopping spree today; or the box turtle I made her stop for so that I could place him gently out of the road. Those two events happened less than five minutes into our outing. That being said, you know she's seen a lot.
She might complain that I made her pull a trailer today so I could get compost for the garden. She did a great job though. I think on our trip last week that she ran into every bug from home to the Chesapeake Bay. So I'm sure she would tell you that she loved the bath I gave her this evening as the sun was getting ready to set. That's why you see Just a touch of sun in the skies above her because it was near her bedtime.

I bet you're wondering if she has a name. As a matter of fact - she does. Let me formally introduce The Black Pearl. Now you know why the pirate music is playing in your ear. Yep, shades of Johnny Depp! You see when I took her to raise her papers officially said her color was black pearl. It couldn't have been a better choice!
Now if only Johnny would sit in the passenger's seat on a outing or two - arrggh!

She is beautiful!
Carletta, maybe Johnny would join you if you remembered that HE'S the captain and you sit in the passenger seat.
Yes...knew this one was coming and totally expect a kangaroo to be digging through your recently bought compost and in your garden tomorrow!
And only for you hon, she will have a baby in her pouch! ((Carletta)) thanks for visiting me so often!! :)
What a neat collage Carletta. Great personification in your humorous post. Well done!
ROFL! You are SO like me! I have stopped for every bloomin' turtle crossing the road for the past 21 years!!! And while I don't drive a JEEP... I do drive an Expedition... and LOVE it! Unfortunately he's getting old and will soon have to be replaced... and due to gasoline prices I am considering something a lot smaller... *sigh*... my heart is really not IN it though!
JEEP was a GREAT choice - and obviously YOUR heart IS in it!
Nice to see your Jeep... very shiney.. unlike my battered and bruised landy...
I love your choice for J! Your Black Pearl is very beautiful! It would of course be perfect if Jack Sparrow could be ordered under your jeep's "extras" :)
Happy Saturday
She's beautiful Carletta :)
If Johnny drops by for a ride, tell him I said hi ;)
rue
she's a beaut and deserves a special mention :)
Nice looking jeep. Hope you and her have many more happy adventures!
What an awesome post and a wonderful tribute to your comrade! Every time you mentioned Jeep in the past, I had a vision of you in Camos driving an open styled Jeep into the woods! LOL
This is great!
Hi Carletta,
Thanks for coming by this evening. Your Jeep is fancier than mine. I will be travelling all day tomorrow in mine. I haven't come up with a name for him yet. My blog should continue posting daily with the new automatic feature until I return, so check by and see if it's working. I have enjoyed your photos.
I love the Black pearl! So fun and sleek! Now, where does Johnny sit?
Quilly: You're right - I forgot!
George: I'm LOL at you! I can arrange camos.
Carolr: As Quilly pointed out, he is the Captain, so...anywhere he wants!
I thought of shooting my friends Jeep for J. Now I'm glad I didn't since you had it covered! Great job. Nice music to accompany it.
Truly a swashbuckling name for your 'ship' !!
I am sure the two of you will have loads of adventures to tell us !! :)
Thanks for stopping by .
