In my post yesterday the whirling snow from Saturday's storm left little to the imagination. Yesterday was an entirely different story. The sun shone brightly on the white glistening landscape that reflected back its surroundings. The old oak in my yard spread her branches on the blanket of white.
The icicles hanging
precariously from the dripping gutter left their image on the gray clapboard siding of the house.
The dormant wisteria vines watched themselves in the puddled water of ice melting on the hottub cover.
Reflections of winter.

I enjoyed your blog and read the last three posts. I hope you read this or the previous one but will just copy this here...
And I also liked your story about the one-room school house. I went to one of those here in Ohio. And my mom went to Spice Lick School in Summers County West Virginia.
We went back to Hinton this past summer for a brief visit.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I appreciate it.
Carletta, Your pictures are stunning!
Penny

Great post and excellent photos!
Carletta: You did capture the snow you received beautifully.
The picture of the icicle is stunning, the only time I get to see these now are on the blogs.
We never seem to have the cold like we used to.
