We have had some beautiful sunflowers this summer that are a variety of autumn colors. Since they are at one end of our garden and I can't see them often hubby cut some and I arranged them in an aluminum pitcher on my back deck. The bees love them. They are quick little guys darting in and out of the flower centers and hard to capture but I finally got a fairly decent shot.The black and yellow colors of the sunflower center provide a lot of camouflage for the little bee. Look how full this little guy's pollen sacs are - amazing!
