Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal
It snowed all day Saturday. We had about eight inches of new snow which left us with ten inches on the ground. Needless to say I filled the bird feeders twice and put some seed on the deck railings as well so they all could get at it easier. As I type this on Monday morning the sun is out and there is blue in the sky overhead. It's still very cold at 14 degrees and the forecast is calling for only a couple of degrees above freezing until Saturday. I'm sure the birds are looking forward to Spring as much as I am.

Perfect post, snow falling, great shot.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great photo, but I can't help but wonder if Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal are discussing wintering in Florida in the future.
ReplyDeleteNasty weather at this time of year is hard to take. we've all had enough winter and just want it to be over and it will end.
ReplyDeletesweet cardinals. :) we had snow and sleet here yesterday and the whistlers, blackbirds and other birds were going crazy for food.

ThEy are so lucky to have you ... And really vice versa, because those beauties must really brighten up a snowy day.. For many years, the only cardinals I ever sae were on Christmas cards. I've now seen quite a few .. Never enough ... And never in the snow for real!
ReplyDeleteSuper photo, but I can't help feeling sorry for the birds though. Let's hope that the weather warms up - for all of you.
