She was just hanging out for lunch.
She didn't particularly care for the lunch partner that showed up.
He listened....
and chose to grab some grub and take a seat elsewhere.
He had nothing to fear. It's cold and he needs to eat too.

That was quite a conversation they had. Great shots Carletta. Such cute critters! It snowed here last night but not so bad really. I think we may have just been on the edge of the storm.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great set of birds (and squirrel!)

ReplyDeleteVery nice pictures! It does look like that woodpecker didn't want to have anything to do with the blue jay! Enjoyed your captions.
ReplyDeleteHello Carletta, nice series on the Redbellied & Blue Jay! The squirrel looks cute praying! Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteA great looking Jay and smart pictures.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it interesting that your Red-Bellied Woodpecker has a white chest and mine is slightly brown ... wonder why? Love your story line ... I think you must be very close to what they are thinking. My squirrles don't worry about being chased off anymore they are more than happy to grab and run. They definately get their share. Cute post, Carletta ...
