"There is nothing in the world more beautiful than the forest clothed to it's very hollows in snow. It is the still ecstasy of nature, wherein every spray, every blade of grass, every spire of reed, every intricacy of twig, is clad with radiance." ~ William Sharp
"The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event."

ReplyDeleteSnow so early this season...... nice pictures Carletta.
ReplyDeleteAwwww...what a magical DAY for it to fall on...11/12/13! It is absolutely beautiful. You captured the magic very well. I love the b&w image and also the color of the foliage dusted with snow. So beautiful. Sigh. Since moving from Dallas I doubt I will see snow again, unless I travel north for the winter.
ReplyDeleteGAIL - IT ISN'T A BLACK AND WHITE IMAGE. I TOOK THIS JUST BEFORE SUNRISE. IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY AT THE SKY YOU CAN SEE JUST A HINT OF BLUE. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is Absolutely Gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteWOW, I love those snowy shots, and that bit of dripping ice on the colorful fall leaf! I'm envious, we hardly ever get snow in Seattle, our climate is moderated by both the Pacific Ocean and Puget Sound, sigh. Thank you for coming by to share on Rurality Blog Hop #40!
ReplyDeleteThat is so magical place!

ReplyDeleteSnow is so magical - even to an adult who knows that at some point, it will have to be driven through. Love that first image especially.
