  1. Gorgeous photo, Carletta. Those red-wings are around here --but they never come close to the house.. SO--I've never gotten a photo of them...

    Hugs,

  5. Great capture, Carletta. We never see those here in town but they are out in the fields. If and when the snow ever melts and it warms up I hope to spend a day birding.

  6. We always have them at our feeder during spring too.
    Very pretty picture!

  7. I was this close (insert Get Smart voice, thumb and index finger inches apart) to using some pictures of crows/black birds I snapped from the back door the other day for my post today. They will probably make an appearance mid week - and are not nearly as good this shot.

    Very nice!

  9. Nice shot. Was that taken at a bird sanctuary or in the wild? I noticed the perch. Either way a great shot!

  19. I love the Red Wing Blackbirds. They nest in the wetlands by me and come to my feeders all of the time. They can be rowdy, but they are always beautiful ... even the female is beautiful in her own way. Lovely picture,Carletta.

  27. Beautiful capture! These birds are so dark that it's hard to do them justice and expose properly, but you did great. I love that you were able to get the deep red in the wing and the catchlight in the eye. I usually blow the red out. :/

  37. Nice picture - I'd love to see one of these birds.

I dont suppose the male minds getting teased as long as the eye make-up attracts the ladies!

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.
