Sunrise

Tuesday morning before sunrise the jet trails were illuminated by the sun that had not yet risen above the horizon. I took this photo off my back deck. 
I walked out to my front yard and when I looked up again it looked like the jets were playing tic,tac,toe. The pinkish glow was also disappearing. It would be a mere few moments before the sun crept above the horizon.

    Thankgoodness you were up early enough and had your camera at the ready. So many times by the time you go and get the camera the beautiful sight disappears. Love that first pic.

    A lovely sunrise to wake up to, great pictures! Rainy morning here in Northern Virginia. We were thinking of going for a road trip to West Virginia today but have postponed it as we don't want to be driving in the rain.

    Impressive color and contrails. I canot see anything but a huge hill abutting out deck. Lots of trees and even more old leaves, but no view of the sky. At least it is private and quiet back there. genie
