  1. Thanks for reminding me - 11th September. Terrible day for the World. Unbelievable as to how it could have happened, and now decent travellers around the World are subjected to scans, having to be at airports so early, even for domestic flights - three hours here for international travellers!
Makes a trip from Sydney direct to LAX 17 hours plus - 3 hours at an airport twiddling your thumbs!
Lovely shots of the Bald Eagle, the symbol of the USA.
One creature that I think should be left to fly high in the sky - so magestic.
    Cheers

  2. Oh I forgot - your heading - "The Eagle has Landed".
Excellent book by Jack Higgins and so was the movie, also the sequence book "The Eagle has Flown".
    Highly recommended for reading.

  4. Colin,
I do agree these majestic creatures should be free to fly high. However, they are at the zoo because they needed rehabilitating for one reason or another.

  7. We just visited a small bird rehab/nature center and they had a sign telling people that. I took a picture of it to include in case I decide to post a picture. But my Eagle pix didn't turn out as nicely as yours. He looks magnificent!
