AND, after peeling, and peeling, and peeling and putting away bags of sliced apples into the freezer for those winter days ahead when warm fried apples will grace the table....it was time for a little camera play. The result was an apple still life with bubbles of bokeh!

  1. Love this Carletta!
Until I looked at this, with dates above each picture, I never realised how quick the transformation from bloom to fruit. (and I have apple trees in my garden!)
The last one, with the Bokeh, is lovely; I like that the leaves and fruit also have imperfections. Life is not perfect!

  2. I so wanted an apple tree in my yard - planted 2 dwarf Fuji - but they didn't make the first year! Dead by mid-summer in spite of my best efforts! Oh well - I will just enjoy looking at the progress of yours! Lovely series on the process!

  4. Do you know what type of apples you have? Because I think we have the same type as you - even with those black spots! I will be posting about apples for next Rural Thursday :-)

  17. I think we got two or three apples this year on our trees. Yours look like they would make a great pie.

Thanks for sharing at RT this week, Carletta.

  18. Lovely in every stage. It would be OK with me if you included a picture of the fried apples sizzling in the cast iron skillet. (It must be time for me to go fix dinner!)

  21. Your FF are lovely, but I kept going and I just love the apple photos. I never realised how quick fruit went from bloom to fruit. May I please ask what are fried apples?? They sound simply delish.

  22. Achtung! This is a test of the International World Verification Detection System. In the event of an actual comment, something quite profound and greatly uplifting to all concerned will be left. (LOL?) (Please?)

  24. It you tire of picking over there, come on over here and pick here. Only kidding. Our apples are not very good, but the deer and the bogs love them when they hit the ground. I have picked strawberries but never apples. genie
