A Lucky Day

'Somewhere Over The Rainbow'

This was one of two rainbows I saw on Saint Patrick's Day, March 17, 2012. I didn't get to the camera in time when I noticed the first one fading; but captured this one as the sun sparkled off the trees.
Disclaimer: No pot of gold was found during the photographing of this rainbow. :)

  1. The luck o'the Irish was with you Carletta! And with us a few days later since you so kindly shared!

  2. Carletta.
Obviously you didn't take that little leprechaun with you. You also require a shovel and then you start frantically digging, making sure that no one is lurking behind trees ready to race in and snatch your loot in the pot!
Next time, run faster and have a shovel ready!
At your present rate, you'll never get to "Water Down Under"! ie: Australia! ha ha
    Cheers

  4. Darn! No pot of gold! I think the rainbow was teasing you! :-) Thanks so much for commenting on several of my recent posts. Don't worry, I tend to get behind sometimes too, and have to catch up!

  5. Had to come back just to tell you, yes kissing the Blarney stone means stretching way backwards, but there is someone there to help you. I wouldn't trade doing it for anything...even though we missed Maureen O'Hara! :-)

  8. I've been chasing that pot for years!! Glad I'm not the only one that has missed it! Ah, but you do have beautiful skies and a gorgeous rainbow, Carletta, and that makes up for a lot!! Happy SWF! Enjoy the weekend!

  13. Such an extra special gift on St Patty's Day. Darn little leprechauns hiding their gold so well.
