OK, great action shot, but what type of bird is it? This must be an American practice with these bird feeders, I have never seen one here. You just see here open bird feeders with seeds - sometimes results in all out bird brawls! Also what actually is that lump stuff in the cage? Gorgeous White-Breasted Nuthatch, Carletta. We have bunches of them here also. They will chatter at me when I am outside... Cute little birds!!! Hugs, Betsy
All those little creepers (nuthatch?) work so hard for their feed -- darting up and down -- seems like they'd use more calories than they take in! Lovely picture.
