Friday's Fences

I was out this past Tuesday taking some additonal photos of a barn I intend to post for Barn Charm on Monday. It so happened this fence post with its barbed wire and vines was in my field of view while trying to get the barn pics so I thought I'd use it for Friday's Fences. I really didn't like the composition at all but after playing around with it I added a texture and played with different blending modes to achieve what you see. It's growing on me.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ahead!

  5. I rather like this. I like the sharp focus of the vine and barbed wire, and the soft focus of the barn.

  6. Hi Carletta... You did a great job of getting the barn and the fence in the same picture... Love the Mail Pouch barns.. They remind me of the See Rock City ones in our area... Great fence post!!!

  14. Love the outcome of your playful activity the other day. This shot is great, now. Never cull a shot. There is always a way to create a piece of art from it. genie

  16. Very artful composition. Quite like that hazy barn background as it really emphasizes the fence post subject. I read someplace to never delete photos after just looking at them through the view finder. Amazing what you can get once they're uploaded and "played with" just a bit.
