Through My Window Thursday

I mentioned last week that on Thursdays I would be posting different views that I happen to see through my window. This was a view early one morning last week. The fog had drifted up off the river. I love it. It reminds me of fall which is my favorite season. Then too, the words of Carl Sandburg always come to mind. His poem is one of my favorites.

The fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

As I was leaving to visit my daughter last week Jientje left me a comment that she had something for me. It was this cute little You Rock award. I have to thank her for this wonderful gesture. She handed it out to me for being a faithful visitor of her blog and said she was a huge fan of my work. She's a huge fan of my work. Oh my gosh - her work is so exceptional and that is why I visit her so much. If you don't know her blog please stop by Heaven In Belgium and visit her. You really will not be dissappointed!

Thank you Jientje!

I love that kind of foggy morning. Your yard looks so beautiful and park-like. I'm enjoy looking out your window on Thursdays and look forward to the next installment.

That award is adorable.

Oh, river, can you hear fog horns? Beautiful!

I like your view through the window. Neat idea.

You can probably see them at night if you leave some dog food out on the porch. Then flip the light on.

Or, early in the morning you might see them out the window digging up night crawlers or grubs in the grass.

Ohhhh looking out that window is the kind of day where I just want to grab another cup of coffee, wrap up in a blanky and plop down on the couch with a good book! Until the sun comes out! And that poem is one of my favorites too! I always LOVED that first line... "on little cat feet"... WHAT imagery!

Congrats on your award! I LOVE your work AND Jientje's! :)

Carletta: That is a great view out your window. This is a super August with weather more like September. I have no complaints.

You truly deserve the award for a neat site.

Hello Carletta

Next week I'll post the recipes in English.
My problem is the units!!!
We use here in Brasil "grama" and you use "pounds".
Do you understand "grama" as measure of weight?

Thanks for your visit!

I love you view... foggy or otherwise.
Smarmoofus did a shot of fog over a river a couple of weeks ago as part of a Thematic Photographic prompt. You'd like it I think. (I sure did!)
Nice shot (even if it is a tiny bit melancholy).

Well, you know you have a fan here in NC and yes, Carletta, you do rock!! Congratulations!

I'm moving to your part of the world, or maybe it's beautiful because I'm looking through your eyes :)

It's just prettier than it is here for whatever reason!
