CHOCOLATE

Since last Monday was my Valentine Birthday I have to post the box of chocolate candy that Hubby got for me. This is it on the dining room table just where he left it for me with pink silk rose petals scattered across the top of the box and the table. The real roses he got for me are posted here.

CANNED FOOD

My stacked cans of tomato soup were rather plain so I played with the adjustment levels and I'm pretty happy with my 'pop art' homage to Andy Warhol.

MUSIC

This is a replica of an old record player my husband bought me a couple of years ago so I could play some old 45's from my teenage years. As you can see it also plays old vinyl LP's. I added a Kim Klassen texture to make the photo look old and grainy.

Sepia Scenes: Famous Music Hall

Beside the tall decaying apartment type building is the backside of the Capitol Music Hall in Wheeling, West Virginia. It first opened back in 1928 on Thanksgiving day as the Capitol Theater. The old-style theater featured a 2,450 seat auditorium. The Music Hall was home to a popular radio program in the early forties, It's Wheeling Steel, featuring musical performances by workers at a local steel plant. The Capitol Music Hall also featured country artists such as Johnny Cash, June Carter-Cash, Merle Haggard, Tammy Wynette, and the Joneses.

The theatre operated until 2007 but was closed due to code violations. It has been sold in the past couple of weeks with plans to renovate and restore the historical building.
