Wild Birds: "I'm Bringing Booty Back"

Birds are just as lovely from the back as from the front. I happen to think that's true. Their feather patterns are so much easier to study and admire when they decide to keep their backside to my camera.

Oh really stunning wildlife shots. Love the shallow depth of field.

You make your point I follow a blog called Burdz Butz and he features birds from behind. He's also very humorous and knowledgeable about birds.

Very beautiful series of bird backs, they are lovely to see from that view.

I am so showing this post to a certain person who lives with me. He laughs at all my butt shots...but I still posted a couple today anyhow.

But you have some lovely logical reasoning here! Seriously. Thanks.

Really wonderful captures, Carletta! I seldom get a chance to photograph them from their backside. I do like seeing all the details from the back...

Great photos! And you have a good point.

I agree! Profiles are wonderful and straight-on shots give you their faces, but the back is seldom appreciated for it's feather patterns and colors, and I love seeing them! You took some great photos!

It's true that most birds are quite attractive viewed from the back.
