What do you see?

A Field of Dandelions

Look at all that detail!

Remember when you were young how you closed your eyes and blew the spores away?

"When you look at a field of dandelions you can either see a hundred weeds or a hundred WISHES...."

What do you mean 'when you were young' - I thought everybody still did it!!

Nice shots.

People underestimate the dandelion. They consider it a nuisance which it is. but the dandelion has lots of pluses. You've just shown it's beauty.

We still do wishes - and there are millions around here - the fields are almost solid yellow in places - a love sight to see - and then when they turn to wishes and if you are lucky enough to be near a field when a breeze comes up - you get a thrill watching the wishes fly across the field. If you should catch a wish from the air you get double wishes.

I love dandelions! I might not want them in my little garden, but they're so pretty along the roads and in the fields.

Wishes and wishes indeed!
Wonderful images of the dandelions, Carletta!

It's been a few years since I blew on one and made a wish! They are pretty flowers, just not in my garden.

The joys of childhood wonder and awe. I believe in keeping those feelings alive too.

A lovely post. Reminds me of the dandelions we saw in Alaska -- so many everywhere. I guessed that after the long winter those little yellow suns were very welcome (as in my opinion they should be everywhere). But they are yet another spring bloom that we don't see here in Florida by the way!

I'm usually not a fan of dandelions, but your photos -- especially the last one -- are beautiful.

Oh that's hard to choose because I do love the detail of your shots but I don't like all the dandelions that seem to sprout in our yard every year. - I guess I should "make a wish" they'd all disappear! - Loving that last shot.
