Where the deer roam.......

Back in August I posted a photo of this little fawn with all of its spots. (see photo here)
Yesterday evening I looked out my sunroom window in time to catch the above shot. There are acorns on the ground among the oak leaves so I guess it was suppertime!!!
I was able to get a few shots as the fawn came closer to the window as if to ask, 'But Ms. Carletta, what happened to my spots?" I know this is V-notch. Yep, I named him. See that little notch in his ear?
Of course Mama wasn't too far away having her own supper of acorns.
A couple of evenings before this little young buck also made an appearance at my window. He continued to munch acorns as he kept an eye on me. He doesn't seem to mind that for his fifteen minutes of fame he has grass sticking out of this mouth!

HI Carletta Oh my! How he is growing up and so cute. It is great that he has thenotch so you know when he comes by aagain. His Mum and Dad are marvellous also Great shots.

My little sweetheart that comes to our place every day. He got killed in the early night out front. Neighbor said he was up yonder eating apples in early of the night but then acrossed to my olace. he never made it.

I will miss the dear lovley Deer.

So I have yours to look at. Enjoy !

I can't believe this...we both are posting about deer in our yards today.....Your shots are incredible and so clear....I never tire of the excitement of seeing them come for a visit....

Little V-notch is adorable. It's nice that he has a distinguishing mark so that you know it it him. Deer are such lovely creatures.
